Mississauga, Ontario – July 7, 2023 – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) has named Dan Dakin as its new Manager, Communications Strategy and Public Relations.
An experienced communications leader, Dakin joins Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) having spent the previous eight years leading media relations and communications teams in the post-secondary and health care sectors. Prior to his time in public relations, Dakin spent 15 years as an award-winning daily newspaper journalist, and as a freelance writer and magazine editor specializing first in the motorsports/automotive sector, and then in business and cycling. He was a founding editor with Sport Compact National and Canadian Cycling Magazine.
In his role as Manager, Communications Strategy and Public Relations, Dakin will report to Director, Marketing Steve Carter, and will be the primary liaison between Canadian journalists and MMSCAN. He will also oversee internal corporate communications, working closely with MMSCAN President and CEO Kenji Harada and the rest of the leadership team.
