MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 11, 2023 – After a banner 2022 that saw it celebrate 20 years in Canada, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) is delivering vehicles at a record-breaking pace in 2023.
MMSCAN reported second quarter 2023 results today with a record-setting 10,409 vehicles delivered, a 78% increase from the previous year. It broke the previous record set in the first quarter of 2023, when 7,464 vehicles were delivered by MMSCAN’s 96 dealerships across the country.
It has been a stellar start to the calendar year and the company’s fiscal year, led by the all-new Outlander and Outlander PHEV, named the Best Mid-Size Utility Vehicle in Canada for 2023 by the Automotive Journalists of Canada (AJAC).
MMSCAN has delivered 17,873 vehicles in the first half of 2023, compared to 12,547 vehicles in the first half of 2022, an increase of more than 42%.
“This is a challenging time for OEMs, but we also know it’s a difficult environment for consumers across the country,” said Kenji Harada, MMSCAN President and CEO. “These record sales for Mitsubishi Motors confirm that we’re offering well-engineered vehicles packed with value, advanced features and a best-in the-business warranty that gives buyers peace of mind.”
Outlander and Outlander PHEV have been the top performers in the Mitsubishi lineup this year, selling 4,960 and 4,683 units, respectively. RVR is right behind them with 4,626 units delivered in 2023.
